is the only way to stay on top of the tumbleweed situation.
I slacked for a few weeks there, and I’m needing to really get on top of it now.
Tumbleweeds are sneaky. They remind me of a cat Alan used to have, who managed to grow rather hefty with his “I’m so hungry, you need to feed me now!” looks -- looks that were persuasive even when Alan had just fed him an hour before.
What tumbleweed can do, in its own sneaky way, is grow in plain sight and not be seen. This morning, I was returning to the house when I noticed not one, not two, but 5 tumbleweeds growing in the area between the garage and the house. This is an area I pass several times a day, and I look at it often to check for tumbleweeds. And here were 5 well-grown ones that somehow I had never noticed before. Got ’em today though!
In other good news, we had a tenth of an inch of rain here at Happy Camp this afternoon. I don’t think that Phase 2 got so much, the rain seemed pretty localized. But this is the first measurable rain here in about 5 weeks, so I’m very happy with it.
