It's snowing!
But it ain’t gonna stick because it’s 37° out there. Still, nice to see some precipitation, however modest. It decorates the air!

Don't know about y'all...
but we are having completely gorgeous weather here. Not to rub it in or anything, but right now it’s 50° on the front porch (ie, in the shade) and sunny, with just the merest breeze. What could be better in mid-January? A fantastic day for outside activities of the non-skiing, non-snowshoeing kind.
Almost snow
It seems to be trying to drop some snow on us. Occasional fat flakes blow by the house. There are still several patches of blue sky too, so we might not really get anything to speak of out of these clouds.
January 2nd also was brisk (more -4° on arising, bah). Yesterday warmed up significantly though, into the 40s. A lot of last week’s snow has melted. The wind has returned, though. Well, it is winter, after all!
A brisk beginning
At 7:30 am on New Year’s Day: -4°!
Now it’s all the way up to 1°!
The very good news: no wind. Not even any breeze.
